About the Department

Visitor Information

The Department of Chemistry welcomes many visitors each year as speakers, prospective students, and collaborators on research and educational projects. This information is provided to make those visits as smooth as possible.

Getting around campus and Pittsburgh

This map shows the full Carnegie Mellon campus. The Chemistry Department graduate program is in Mellon Institute on Fifth Avenue between Dithridge and Bellefield in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. The undergraduate office is located on the first floor of Doherty Hall. In addition, some visitors may find driving directions and parking information here. Several public bus routes, including a bus from the airport, have stops on campus.
