Genevieve did her Ph. D. at Caltech with Prof. Nathan S. Lewis working on solar cells based on dye sensitization of nanocrystalline titanium dioxide. She then took an industrial postdoctoral position at PPG Industries in Pittsburgh, working on smart windows. In December of 2002, she joined the McCullough group at CMU to work with regioregular polythiophene. Genevieve is fluent in both French and English. At home, she enjoys yoga and aquariology. She is the proud mother of two children.
