Why Carnegie Mellon for Chemistry?
Carnegie Mellon provides some unique advantages for those who wish to pursue chemistry as a major including excellent faculty who welcome students in their research, innovative courses, and interdisciplinary degrees and options to let you pursue your unique combination of interests. Carnegie Mellon also offers the Health Professions Program for those interested in going to medical school or pursuing another health-related career.

Laboratories
Our laboratory curriculum provides students with skills that allow them to quickly begin research and to be prepared for a wide variety of industrial positions.
Computing
Undergraduates have access to the extensive, world-class computing resources of Carnegie Mellon University, including wireless network access. Three computer clusters are dedicated to chemistry majors and other science students. A Computer Science track, computational chemistry option, B.S. in chemistry with a minor in Computer Science all allow students to combine their interests in computing and chemistry.
