Fall Course: 09-535/09-735 Applied Topics in Macromolecular and Biophysical Techniques
Course Description: This class is a follow-up to Physical Chemistry 09-214, taught in the spring semester. As 09-214 mostly focuses on the Thermodynamics Principles, Chemical Kinetics, Physical Equilibria and Enzyme Kinetics; this follow up course will further aim at the applications of the Physical chemical principles to understand how biological macromolecules interact to make a cell function. Different techniques from differential scanning calorimetry to single-molecule methods will be discussed. Graduate students who have taken one semester PChem course are also eligible with the approval from the instructor.
