As Associate Dean for Special Projects, my primary responsibilities include diversity projects, management of the MCS web site, selected graduate fellowships, serving as MCS ombudsperson for graduate affairs, and alumni relations, including oversight of Science Connection, the college magazine.
As Associate Head of Chemistry, I oversee the graduate program as co-chair of the Graduate Program Committee, assist the Head with faculty affairs, including junior faculty mentoring, oversee the department web site and computing, and serve as graduate ombudsperson for chemistry Ph.D. students. Questions related to undergraduate affairs should be directed to Karen Stump (ks01@andrew.cmu.edu), Director of Undergraduate Studies.
In addition, I have led a Carnegie Mellon projects related to graduate student concerns such as developing the first university-wide graduate student survey and writing Collected Wisdom: Strategies & Resources for TAs while at the Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence. My research interests have involved development and assessment of innovative approaches to chemistry education in collaboration with David Yaron.

The campus directory lists me as Rebecca. I tend to use Rebecca only on legal documents and Rea for everything else.
