I joined Dr. Collins’ group and decided to pursue research in green chemistry because I am very concerned about the growing environmental issues and am dedicated to building a sustainable human society through chemical technology. TAML, which is capable of catalyzing a wide spectrum of oxidation reactions and degrading environmentally hostile chemicals in a benign manner, carries the hope of solutions to a variety of pollution. It is my great interest to fuse experimental techniques and theoretical modeling methods to both discover potential applications of TAML and gain a deeper understanding of its catalytic mechanisms.
