Over slightly more than two decades, the Collins group has developed a family of hydrogen peroxide activating catalysts referred to as TAML® activators. This research in the design of oxidation catalysts has significant potential to change oxidation chemistry and technology for the better. My role in this work has included guiding research projects designed to understand fundamental properties of the TAML activators and those designed to develop practical means for applying the activators in the various fields of use where commercialization is envisioned. Below is a brief summary of some my major ongoing research activities.
