Carnegie Mellon Ranks Second in Organic Chemistry & Polymer Science
Carnegie Mellon ranks second among high-impact U.S. universities in organic chemistry & polymer science for average citations per paper, according to University Science Indicators. University Science Indicators is based on publication and citation statistics of ISI®. University Science Indicators contains the number of ISI-indexed papers from each university and the number of times the papers were cited 1998 through 2002. According to this indicator, Carnegie Mellon's 177 papers had an average of 14.55 citations per paper. Others in the the top five were Caltech (21.44), MIT (10.18), University of Pittsburgh (10.02), and Harvard (9.42). July 2004 Links: |
