Chemistry Grad Student Jessica Cooper Receives Honor

This spring, Jessica Cooper was awarded the 2005 Graduate Student Travel Award from the American Chemical Society (ACS) to attend the annual ACS meeting in San Diego. Cooper, a graduate student in the laboratory of Richard McCullough, presented her research paper, ”Synthesis and Characterization of Triblock Copolymers Containing Regioregular Poly(3-alkylthiophene).“ The Travel Award is given to a graduate student who shows outstanding academic merit and is making his/her first presentation at an ACS national meeting. Cooper’s research focuses on creating electrically conductive plastics to advance technologies such as organic lighting and solar panels.
